51 MILES • SELMA TO MONTGOMERY • 2026 FUNDRAISER

Black Fleet Network extends its sincere appreciation to Volkswagen Corporate Fleet Sales for standing with us in a way that was both thoughtful and transformative. Through the provision of two Volkswagen ID. Buzz vehicles, their team became an essential part of our
Relay Campaign; supporting a complex, on-the-ground operation that ensured the safe transport, coordination, and care of our runners and support crew – including the youngest among us. These vehicles were more than transportation; they served as mobile hubs that carried the rhythm of the race forward.

What made this partnership truly meaningful was not only the support itself, but the spirit in which it was given. As we moved across the 51-mile stretch from Selma to Montgomery, Volkswagen aligned with us in honoring the communities we passed through—approaching each mile with respect for the people, the history, and the environment. Together, we executed a clean race, powered by human endurance and Volkswagen’s commitment to sustainable mobility.

This was a creative, intentional act of support, one that reflects what is possible when innovation meets purpose. We are especially grateful to Kendra Patterson for her leadership, presence, and belief in what this effort represents. Volkswagen Corporate Fleet Sales did much more than deliver two vehicle units. They shared this historic pavement and ran this race with us.
