BFN SPEAKS 
Speaker Submission Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: Feb 20, 2026

 

​​By submitting interest to speak under the BFN Speaks initiative, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Representation & Alignment

Speakers selected through BFN Speaks are representing Black Fleet Network (BFN) and/or appearing in affiliation with BFN in collaboration with the event host. As such, speakers agree to:

  • Deliver reliable, accurate, and professional insights reflective of industry best practices.

  • Uphold BFN’s mission, values, and commitment to elevating professionals and strengthening the fleet ecosystem.

  • Engage audiences with respect, professionalism, and integrity.

  • Refrain from disparaging BFN, its leadership, members, partners, sponsors, or event hosts during or outside the engagement.

BFN reserves the right to remove, replace, or decline speaker placement at its discretion should conduct or messaging conflict with organizational standards.

Session Management & Placement

All sessions listed on the submission page are curated, managed, and facilitated by BFN in collaboration with the event host.

Submission of interest does not guarantee placement. Final speaker selection, session alignment, format, and positioning are determined by BFN in coordination with the host organization.

Exclusive Member Benefit

Participation in BFN Speaks is an exclusive benefit of active BFN membership.

Speakers must maintain good standing with BFN through the duration of the engagement. Lapsed membership may result in forfeiture of placement.

Compensation

Unless explicitly agreed upon in writing between the speaker and BFN prior to the engagement:

  • Speaking engagements secured through BFN Speaks are considered non-compensated opportunities.

  • Any honorarium, stipend, or reimbursement must be formally documented in writing.

  • Speakers may not independently negotiate compensation tied to BFN-curated sessions without written authorization.

 

Promotion & Marketing Rights

By participating, speakers grant BFN permission to:

  • Use submitted headshots, biographies, and session descriptions for promotional purposes.

  • Capture and use photography, audio, and video recordings of the session for marketing, archival, and educational purposes.

  • Share related content across BFN’s website, newsletters, social media platforms, and partner communications.

Speakers retain ownership of their intellectual property; however, BFN retains rights to event-based recordings and promotional materials produced under its facilitation.

 

Professional Conduct

Speakers agree to:

  • Meet agreed-upon deadlines for bios, slides, and materials.

  • Adhere to event timelines and technical requirements.

  • Avoid political endorsements, discriminatory language, or content inconsistent with BFN’s mission unless expressly aligned with the event’s approved framework.

 

Modification & Discretion

BFN reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued participation in BFN Speaks constitutes acceptance of any updates.
